My favorite movie

I still think I have many favorite movies, but on this post I’m going to talk about “Forrest Gump”, this movie it’s a about a person, whose name like the movie, is Forrest Gump, and despite he has a certain mental disability, because of his personality, he participate in several and crucial moments of USA’s history.

I really like this movie because of the way is being told, the main character, Forrest Gump is so innocent and ingenuous, but he follows what he really believes and has a kind heart so he ends up being involved in a series of historical events, like the Vietnam war, the hippies movement, he even met the president of America without even care about it or wanted to. Also, there’s these moments that involved war, political and social interests, but the story focus on Forest’s development, and how he build his own history where the most beloved persons must be there with him,  and doesn’t choose a political side like there’s the bad ones and the good ones, unlike hundreds of American’s movies that touch this topic.

I like this type of movie , when there's comedy and drama, but I watch any kind of movies; I always try to incorporate new genres and thematic that I never seen, because I don’t like to get stuck in the same sort of films, where the topic are so cliché, and the scenes, the characters even the dialogues aren’t creative or genuine.

The most recent movie I have seen it’s called “Sunny”, and it's about a group of girls, who were friends and after being apart a long time, they try to reunite. It’s sounds simple but literally is a mountain of emotions, so I recommend it.

Ed Sheeran’s concert

I haven’t been in too many concerts, I think to spend to much money in live music it’s a
waste, but
this one is very special, because it was from my favorite artist Ed Sheeran. He is a Britain singer, songwriter and producer. This musician born in small town and he worked so hard to make his music known. He began to record his own music when he was so young (13 years) and independently released his first compilation of songs and two EPs, but years later in 2016 he won a Grammy Award for his song “Thinking out loud”.

I have listened to Ed Sheeran since 2013, when he wasn’t as well-known as he is now, so I never thought I could see him perform live, also, before this tour, he came to Chile in 2015, but I couldn’t attend at that time, so I was really happy when I got a ticket for this new concert, that was on May of 2017 at the Movistar Arena.

That day I went with my sister to the Arena, and when, after waiting a while, he finally showed up in the stage, it was just amazing, just him, his guitar, the microphone and a loop pedal to mix songs. The atmosphere was so intense, whenever came a ballad song, it was so emotional, the crowd turned on their cellphone’s flashlight, and for the pop songs or hip-hop beat ones everyone cheered up and clapped, sang, jumped at the rhythm of the music.

But my favorite part was when, he started to play my favorite song “The A team”,  I was really surprised because it's a song of his first album, and the performance was so incredible that even sounded better than the studio one! That’s why I really enjoyed the concert, I passed through many emotions with it.

The only anecdote is that I was trying to record everything, but my phone literally died. I couldn’t take many photos and videos so I only have the memories of the concert and a couple of videos I could save. In the future I hope to see him perform live again, If I do it I'll sing passionately and I'll to take at least some photos.

China, a good destination

I choose China like the country I would like to visit, it’s a big country in the Asia continent, that is hard to not know about it, everybody knows even just a little about China, metropolis, crowds, contamination, pandas or weird food, even coronavirus can come to your mind. Well, it's true that it has a big population of around 1.4 billion!

But China isn’t just big cities, contamination and thousands of people in every corner, they kept alive the culture of their ancestors, the Great Chinese civilzation,  through their music, food, literature, religion and many other things, also it has many beautiful nature locations that anyone can fall in love with, that’s why I decided that it’s a place is worthy to go to visit.

To my trip through China, I would like to visit different locations that demonstrates the Chinese living culture and the stunning landscapes, like Forbidden City, The Temple of the heaven, The Yellow mountains, Zhangjiajie (Precipitous Pillars), The Great Wall of China and the Leshan Giant Buddha, the larggest Buddha of the world, it’s made of stone and it's 71 meters long! Also the buddha was built in VIII A.D. In fact there's a local saying: "The mountain is a Buddha and the Buddha is a mountain".

Of course, my dream is to go as a tourist, but if I ever learn mandarin, I could work there as a translator, but mandarin it’s so hard!
